Mexicali Cantina

This place used to be one of my favorites with the best fajitas ever - arriving on a sizzling platter with great spices. And a variety of condiments. Unfortunately the business the changed hands. Since then the fajitas seem to be preprepared and need to be on one of those TV shows which fix all their mistakes. Chef Ramsey would give me my desired meals cooked to quality back. I am disappointed to say that now the fajitas come with the meat in a sauce and are well below standard in flavor and is tough. The decorations were removed and it is rather plain inside. The staff is friendly but when you eat a multiple course menu they leave the old unappetizing dirty plates on your table to use again. This is very unappealing as most of the courses are slushy which will leave a smother of sauces on your plate. I had to get napkins in order to clean my plate between courses. I have not gone back since. Not even for my beloved death by chocolate dessert.

Although service was a bit lacking the food was great! The menu has a wide selection and the helpings were quite big.

Excellent food just a little pricey.
