Hired a double room - we have 2 children. Room was basic but clean and good and all we needed. Could have done with some kitchen cutlery and crockery so we could have breakfast in our room, but we just bought some plastic plates from a supermarket instead. Off-street parking cost an extra $5 per night - reasonable, or if you need free on-street parking during business hours, go to the very end of Victoria Road about 3 blocks away - there's some free parking there. No free Wi-Fi which was actually good - my kids spend too much time on iPods etc. anyway. Access to the Melbourne CBD was very easy - hop on the tram across the road for a 10-minute trip (route 57, stop 11) or even just walk - about 25 minutes. We walked to Queen Victoria Markets in just under 10 minutes. Staff were helpful and friendly. Room rate was reasonable. Would definitely stay here again.
