Tyres
Michelin
Buy 3 tyres, get 1 free deal. Rang up to find out their cheapest tyres as I needed a full new set of rubbers. Told me their cheapest was $80 but they couldn't do the buy 3 get 1 free deal because the $80 were low budget. Guy here tells me they can do the buy 3 get 1 free deal with some for $110 each and they were low budget but would last much longer than other low budget tyres. I ask him what the brand name is and he tells me they are "uni pro".
I ring another tyre place and tell them and he couldn't stop laughing saying that uni pro tyres are a shocking tyre and he didn't think they made them anymore. He was absolutely shocked when I told him he wanted to charge me $110 each. He said there was all sorts of dramas with this tyre 20 years ago when he was a kid. I really did feel like an idiot because this guy did not believe me when I told him what Michelin was trying to sell me. I am shocked.
Went here a few months ago with a tyre puncture and they charged me $16.50(I asked them how much it would cost when I dropped it off). Thought it was reasonable and so when I got another puncture the other week I was happy to go here again. Picked it up the following day and they charged me $27.50. $27.50 for a trye puncture????????What a joke. Obviously because it was around Christmas time, they charge more because they are next to the Pacific Highway.
Definitely will not be going here again.
was on holidays from Sydney to the goldy. Got a puncture just out of Coffs harbour. Glad I saw your review, went to a different tyre place in Grafton and they were tops. Picked up cheep rims too BONUS, cheers
