I gave clear instructions on where the split system was to be installed and advised to call me if there were any issues with installation as I was in 400kms away and could not meet them there. Luckily I was able to inspect the job a couple of days later unexpectedly on my way through to Melbourne. I was disappointed to see that my instructions were not followed at all and the inverter was an eyesore on the front of the house! I had to complain and ask for the unit to be relocated to where I had first specified around the side of the house. Looks like clear instructions and contact number aren't enough these days. Said the job would be $700 to $800. Ended up being $880. Still not sure why.. but it's the least of my worries now and just want to move on with the rest of the renos.
