Mid Hunter Palliative Care Volunteers Inc provide trained volunteers to support people diagnosed with a terminal or life limiting illness. The volunteers come from the communities of Cessnock and Singleton and undergo a training course before being placed with clients and families in their area. All volunteers are covered by the services policies such as Confidentiality and Privacy and are supported by a Coordinator & Management Committee.
A volunteer can assist with respite for carers, social contact, help with shopping or other errands or just be there for support.
