I had quite a lot of work done on my car including the front bearings, it was due for some work but it had not had problems. I chose Midas at Albion to service it in part because they warranted their work. Barely 10,000km later and problems with their work began to emerge and progressively got worse. At first they said they would repair it under warranty, but when I dropped the car off as agreed, they called me to say they wouldn't do it unless I paid- the full standard workshop costs. Given the last bearings lasted 100,000km with servicing eve
ry 20,000, and never developed a leak, getting only 10,000 seemed wrong. I took the car to 2 other places where the mechanics confirmed that it appeared to be an instillation issue. Midas warranty isn't worth anything. I've booked to go with a reputable mechanic, the cost isn't much more and I'm sure the results will be vastly different- and unlike Midas I won't be charged twice to get the job done.
I went and saw Marcus and the team with my Hyundai Getz last week. Unfortunately my previous mechanic had not done what was asked of them and I came up with a large bill. With the Midas team at albion their communication with me was excellent and all repairs were carried out by lunch time so I could use my car for the afternoon. Great customer service, would not look at going anywhere else for my next service.
I am now a loyal Midas Albion girl after my exceptional experience with them.
After getting Lube Mobile out to look at my car and they had no idea what was wrong with it, the guy at the counter at Midas thought he knew what was wrong as soon as I explained it. Upon further inspection they confirmed he was right and called me to make sure I was happy with replacing parts. When I came to pick up my car, he had the part there ready to explain/show me what was wrong, in an easy to understand way (I'm a girl with no clue about cars).
They also matched my bf's quote from another company for his car and overall service was excellent.
The sticker for my next service in my car said 'Thank you! =)'. I know that that's not a big deal but a nice touch to show they care.
I won't be going anywhere else :D
I've been modifying my sports car for a while now doing a fair amount of the work myself so believe me when I say I know enough about my vehicle to know when I'm... lets say... being made a joke of...
My honest opinion about this business and its employees is simply put - excellent.
For me they have been the first, since owning this particular vehicle, to offer high quality service to myself and my vehicle without trying to rip me off or tell me what (actually doesn't) needs to be replaced...
Everything that was busted was shown to me to inspect myself and everything that was worked on was itemized properly on an invoice with all the prices I expected to see. I even heard the blokes offer themselves to stay back after hours so a customer could drop their car in late.
Again. Excellent quality work and service.
