I had our car booked in for a replacement of its radiator but cancelled the appointment. The appointment was booked on Tuesday afternoon and cancelled on Thursday morning, the appointment was for Friday (today).
I decided to cancel the appointment after I was told by several co-workers not to use the Caboolture/Morayfield Midas as they had previously had poor experiences there or knew someone who had.
I subsequently cancelled the appointment, giving 24 hrs notice out of courtesy. I have not signed any contract and am well within my rights to change my mind.
We have so far received 2 phone calls demanding payment for a courier. If this continues I will contact the police. As it is I will be leaving negative reviews on every web page I can find.
Obviously I was well advised to not use Midas, and will not be using them again.
The vehicle was booked in for a radiator that was ordered from brisbane , costing $15 freight, when the job was cancelled a phone call was made explaining the freight cost and the customer was asked politely if they could help
out with that cost, I was told that it wasn't their problem, the first phone call i was asked to call back later as the customer was not home, If the radiator was not pre-ordered the customer would have complained it wasn't there to be fitted on the day it was booked in for, dammed if you do and dammed if you don't.
