Supermarket & Grocery Stores
MINH Phat Grocery
2-8 Nicholson St
Abbotsford, VIC, 3067
It's been a while since I was here last. A huge Asian grocery store in the hub of Richmond, although this entire area of Richmond along Victoria Street seems to have side by side competition of Asian stores. The prices here are ok, pretty much on par with the others, some items slightly cheaper. Huge advantage is having everything in the one store from the fruits/veggies. Can imported sauce, seasoning etc to pots and pans. Only one register operating at the time although there were a number of others. Service efficient and fast, what you would expect.
This place is an institute for the savvy fresh food and bargain hunter in Richmond. If you are after fresh meats, seafood and vege then definitely give this place a visit l. The market mornings on Saturday and Sundays are the busiest and be sure to arrive before 1 pm before the rush gets too big!! There isn't a lot of parking around so I suggest bringing one of those market trolleys. It is easily accessible by 109 team along Victoria street and is also close to Aldi and Safeway if you want to pick up the rest of your groceries for the week.
A huge Asian supermarket based out in Richmond, probably the largest that I may be aware off. Its off the main drag of Victoria Street where the other entire Asian supermarkets are positioned side by side to each other. Ive come here a few times knowing that I can literally pick up almost everything I need in the one shop rather than having to go elsewhere. They stock perishable, some kitchen cutlerys there is an upstairs section as well. Price wise its pretty much on par with most other supermarket. I came in specifically the other day as I wanted to pick up one of their tropical fruit ice-cream on the go mango, coconut & red bean for $1 each, and picked up a packed of beef jerky for $6.60. Slow checkout, as there was only one person catering for everyone else although they had a number of checkout lane they couldve opened.
