Minh Tan 2

Been coming here for many years.
Still a great restaurant.
My favourite asian food in Melbourne.
You have to try it to understand.

Minh tan 2 is a hidden gem for yum cha lovers. Mostly known for Peking duck, suckling pork and pork buns. On appearance the venue looks no fuss, but take a seat and try some dim sum.
The egg custard bun here is my absolute favourite and the Siu maid are juicy and fresh. Probably not ideal place to go if you are not into prawns or pork, but otherwise, I definitely rate this place!

I've been here a number of times & will continue to go back & back again. On Victoria St you are spoilt by the gastronomic choices available. With that in mind, it does take a lot to stand out from the crowd. Minh Tanh II does! Not through any flashy decor, dirt cheap pricing or strange menu items (which are often factors that catch my eye). Minh Tanh stands out by delivering quality food, with quality service at an affordable price time & time again.

Minh Tanh II is a Richmond institution, and that's definitely no exaggeration. Locals and visitors to Victoria Street alike know of this renowned place.



I personally recommend the seafood and beancurd hot pot and, most of all, the roast duck. You can't get roast duck just anywhere, and if it's not cooked well the skin is soggy and fatty. Here, it is crispy and sure, fatty, but so mouth-watering! I get half a duck almost every week!
