Mino Japanese Restaurant
521 Military Rd
Mosman, NSW, 2088
Finally got to try a dinner Kaiseki and we could choose between 'Mino' and 'Goshu', you could even have each guest have s different one and choose their own mains. Every dish from the opening lychee cocktail with pork mince ball, to the sashimi, seared nigiri, wagyu tataki, grilled kingfish, scallops in vinaigrette and the dessert of ice cream (choose from a multitude of flavours!) and a special creme caramel inspired dessert was amazing!
We had a great time and the staff was helpful and the service lovely.
We order some preserved ginger with our meal and it cost 50c, but it is the most delicious ginger with large slices and a smooth texture. It was such a great meal for $59 a person.
Looking forward to coming again!
This is now one of my favourite places to eat. Closed on Mondays we were sad when we tried having lunch here after my husband read about it online. We came back again and it was worth it!
A simple restaurant we were greeted warmly by the staff and sat down. Everything was meticulously placed before us, even the chopsticks and holder.
We ordered the lunch set menu which is more like a degustation for around $30. All I can say is do it...
Dish after dish we were blown away by the quality and flavour. From fried zucchini, to the seared salmon nigiri, the karage chicken (best we have ever had) and more, everything was just deliciously good and fresh.
We left wanting more so we will be coming for a taste of their dinner menu next!
A casual restaurant that serves amazing food...
had a few good meals here. we had the degustation-type meal and it was very filling.
presentation is amazing. food is very delicate like art.
strong, fresh flavours, and exciting interesting creations.
staff are very patient with explanations and flexible with menu changes.
an experience worth trying for a special night out.
When we dined here, we ate a number of entrees instead of ordering a main meal, as the mains did not sound as yummy as the entrees. We were not disappointed, as each dish was delicious, cooked to perfection and presented beautifully. The meal turned out a little expensive doing this, but it was worth it! The service was a little slow, but as long as you're with good company, this shouldn't matter too much.
This is a wonderful restaurant. The food is fresh, delicious and plentiful, very good value for money. The staff are all very polite and attentive, and you are never left waiting very long for your meal. The $59 banquet is a wonderful idea, as you get to sample many different dishes, which is especially nice if you can't make up your mind what to choose.
I have been here a couple of times and always go the banquet. Why try and make decisions when you can get a bit of everything.
The food is fantastic and you are never disappointed.
