Miramare Gardens

I attended this venue for my year 12 formal. Was extremely excited for this as it was a very special day and the venue itself looked exquizard. Tickets were quite pricy but initially thought as though it looked so nice the money would account for the service and night. When I arrived I immediently went into the reception area to join my grade only to find I was being followed along with my friend by a security guard claiming we had consumed alchole in the car park. When I proceeded to tell him he must have mistaken us he asked for my id and I didn't hesitate to present it to him as I was over 18. BIG MISTAKE! They wrongfully put a red flag on our names for the rest of the night and we were declined any alchole at all despite the fact we were 18 and had done nothing they claimed us to have done! The venue itself is beautiful , BUT he service was terrible. My wedding reception was the smallest one from 3 other weddings receptions that were held that night and we were treated like 2nd class, All my guests noticed it. The MC (hired from the venue) forgot our names and called us by different names throughout the initial toss. One of my guests had to correct him as we could not understand what was going on. The food was overcooked, the wine bottles were not replaced from guests tables promptly, our hired wishing well box was not provided until we noticed it was missing, at the middle of the reception. Our wedding manager only showed up at the end of the night, to take away the groom for the last half hour of our party, so they could finalise bar payments. I see for some people the venue has provided great service, I bet they had more budget than we did, but seriously, if you want an intimate small reception, go somewhere else.

I've driven past this venue countless times and had no idea it even existed! Miramare Gardens is tucked away on Monal Vale Road, with entrance concealed in one of the backstreets. I attended a wake here after a friend's funeral and was pleasantly surprised by the service, food, and venue. Sweeping gardens, amazingly delicious food and great service. Perhaps management has lifted their game since reading the unhappy comments below. In any case, we were served by friendly waiters and had a choice of cold antipasti platters (think gourmet olives, prosciutto, marinated & grilled eggplant) or warm foods like salt&pepper squid, pumpkin & feta mini-pies, chicken skewers and more. It was just outstanding. The staff's professionalism allowed the grieving family to have a relaxed and stress-free unwinding from a busy day of funeral and burial.

My fianc and I attended a friends wedding at Miramare Gardens & after spending a night at this venue, decided we wanted to make an appointment to potentially have our own wedding there. We got shown around the gardens by the mother of this family-run business and were so impressed we were ready to lock in a date. Unfortunately, we were then handed over to the daughter & within 5 minutes were completely turned off this venue because of her obnoxious attitude. The woman we dealt with was completely unprofessional, inflexible, unhelpful & intimidating. There were no niceties around the meeting; she didn't introduce herself or apologise for keeping us waiting for 40 minutes; it was just straight down to business. Every request by us was shut down & we felt as though she didn't care one bit about what we wanted for our special day. Attended the Ravenswood Christmas Party on Friday 6 December at Miramare Gardens and what an exceptional venue that I never knew existed! From the service staff to the amazing food and of course the stunning gardens. We were so lucky to enjoy it during the day! Thank you to the attentive staff who never left our drink empty! Will definately recommend to all friends and family!
