About a month ago I took my rip curl watch that my family gave me for my 18th birthday into Mr Mint Indooroopilly for a simple well overdue battery replacement. The staff I spoke to seemed overly confident about fixing my watch, reassured me they would do a good job and offered me a new seal and a new battery + 2 years warranty. I had to borrow about $27 from my elderly grandparents house keeping to get the watch fixed which I was more than happy to do considering the watch has sentimental value. The watch is now broken and the staff accuse me of “drowning” a waterproof watch that hasn’t been submerged in water” they then refused to recognise my warranty and ignored me until I left the shop.
I will be taking matters to the head office and possibly contacting an attorney for legal advice
-5/10 stars
Brought my item to Indooroopilly shop to enquire on possibility of engraving. Offered to leave my contact phone number with the order form as the engraving job was deemed too difficult by another shop. The cocky shop staff did not want to take my contact number, and promised that their 'very experienced engraver' will be able to do the job. Returned 5 hours later + another trip to Indooroopilly to be told that this job is too difficult. No apology given. Staff didn't even bother to wipe off their greasy fingerprints off the gift item. Bad customer service + will not recommend.
