Recently took my Seiko watch to have the battery changed at Mister Minit at Lilydale Marketplace. This is the first time I have used them. Was told the seal was fine but watch needed a service. Agreed and paid the extra. Took watch on holiday and went swimming with it as I have done many times in the 10 years I have owned it. First swim in the ocean and the watch filled with water. Mechanism completely rusted and watch totally destroyed. Absolutely disgusted and so upset! A $600 watch completely stuffed because of the incompetence of Mister Minit at Lilydale Marketplace!! Will never use again!
In regards to your post here. I am the new franchisee at Mister Minit Lilydale. I'm sorry to hear of your experience with us. Mister Minit have guarantees on battery replacement and pressure testing. Underwater watches should be pressure tested after every battery replacement to ensure that they are water tight and will not leak water.
