Locals line up for a seat at this popular brekkie spotWhether it is the generous servings, the fresh produce used, the welcoming service and atmosphere or just the value for money you receive at Mitte, whatever the reason, the locals are flocking to this cosy cafe for their regular fix. Eggs any way you like them, a delicious brekkie crumble with cinnamon soaked apple and pear complete with a dollop of mascarpone or a bowl of good 'ol borsht - just a few of the treats on the menu. A glass of pomegrante juice or a perfectly crafted coffee and your day is off to a great start.

Good food poor service! I probably won't bother going back again.
We waited 15 minutes and no one even attempted to say hello or take our order. When we were changing tables (to go inside) the waiter simply watched us struggle holding bags, a cup of coffee, glass & bottle of water. We waited quite a while for the food and they brought our breakfast separately (5 min apart - so one meal got cold).
The food here is good, but the service was a bit poor today. Plenty of great breakfast places in Melbourne so this one has been taken off my recommendation list.
Always busy. Always high quality cafe food and the best coffee around. Local favourite, Mitte is also a local secret, The locals don't like people knowing about it. It has an amazing menu. Try the pikelets! Groovy staff, a very cool vibe and terrific food make this place the absolute best lunch or breakfast venue in the area,
