Mitzu is a popular sushi train in Macquarie Park Centre. They serve really good sushi for a really good price; $3.80 a plate except for fancy stuff which is $5.50 a plate. À la carte and drinks are also priced differently. This place is a favourite of one of our friends who we met up with for a quick lunch. Mitzu was a pleasant surprise among the other great options in the Macquarie Centre. If you’re in the mood for reasonably priced sushi, maybe after a having a go at ice skating, Mitzu is definitely one to check out.
Mitzu at Macquarie Centre occupies a corner store that looks quite premium, probably because the store is on an elevated level and has such a modern look and feel. With sushi train conveyor belt running around the store and tables surrounding, the restaurant was quite packed but still has a lot of space to make it comfortable.
Going there for a weekday lunch, the place is quite popular and you might sometime need to wait for a few minutes before you can get a table.
They mostly sell sushi at a standard $3.50 (more for special plates), but there are a few made-to-order Japanese dishes that you can order such as udon, rice dishes, tempura, and bento set. We bought the tempura udon and a chicken teriyaki bento box. Whilst it might be a little bit expensive for lunch, the serving size was very large the bento box could probably feed two people!
The staffs are courteous and quite prompt.
