I have a mobile music teaching business in the Caloundra area. I teach guitar, piano, bass and ukulele to people of all ages and experience. Using a song based approach, I aim to get students learning and playing enthusiastically right from the start. My broad experience as a professional musician allows me to apply a variety of methods to help people acheive their goals. I find the lessons are very effective for building skills and confidence in young people.
Experience
Based in Melbourne for 25 years, I have worked as a pianist, guitarist and bass player in many different outfits, most notably in the Deadly Band with Archie Roach and Ruby Hunter for 7 years. I also have been musical director for cabaret and community productions, a session musician on many recordings and have been teaching private students for 30 years.

Kerry has been teaching my two daughters, aged 9 and 11, on guitar and uke for the past 2 years. Not only has she achieved amazing results with both of them, but they just love Kerry and look forward to their weekly lessons. Music and laughter fill our house each Wednesday and we couldn't be happier. :)
Kerry is the most patient and experienced music teacher I have ever had. Her lessons are not 'one size fits all' - she tailors what you learn to suit your tastes and skills . She is so enthusiastic you can't help but enjoy yourself! I would recommend her wholeheartedly.
