Modbury Hospital Foundation

Monday morning - I expected to wait at A&E and was ready to, because after all all drs were booked out at local clinics. But my daughter had injured her arm do I went...and DIDN'T wait!!! Well, I did - for 5 minutes ;-) and the dr was friendly, helpful, accurate, understandable. Impressive.

i was in modbury hospital yesterday for knee surgery.have to say that i was very well cared for as has always been the case in our many past visits. the staff went out of their way to make me feel comfortable. by the way arthroscopic knee surgery has come a long way in the past 10 years last time i was in for 3 days. this time day surgery and feeling good! many thanks !!

Living only a few streets away, whenever I've needed urgent medical help over the last 35 years, I've always gone to Modbury Hospital as a walk-in patient. And no matter what the medical emergency might be, kidney stones, second degree burns, you name it, there has always been an arbitrary 3 hours wait before the hospital staff would even acknowledge my existence.

But this last time, I was in such discomfort I decided to call an ambulance. Whether the Hospital management have 'managed' a complete change of attitude, or whether it's just the reception staff who habitually let the place down, I've no idea.
