I reviewed their restaurant unfavourably prior to this and felt we should try again as maybe - just maybe - things had improved. No they hadn't. My husband had an "object" which was supposed to be crumbed chicken, It was obviously a frozen manufactured thing which had then been deep-fried. Horrible. I had battered fish which was greasy and had a strong unpleasant taste. Inedible. We were still hungry so thought we could perhaps have coffee and cake. Nothing left in the cabinet and the lone staff serving said they hadn't had time to refill it.. Nice surroundings, pleasant staff and million dollar views but the worst food I have ever tasted.
My husband and I have been members of this Club for 12 years. We became fed up with the variable quality of the food and I dropped my membership. My husband retained his membership as he is a golfer. Last night my husband was served by possibly the world's rudest bar tender. Now, it was clear that he was not especially singled out as the bar tender treated all of her customers with contempt. My husband's 'crime' was entering the queue, of one other person, from the wrong end. The bar tender ignored him and then served a man who had arrived line 5 minutes after him. When the other customer stated that my husband was first the bartender, still ignoring my husband, told the man that because my husband had entered from the wrong end he would need ...read more
