Mona Castle Hotel

Well, if you like your typical working class pub, then you are probably going to appreciate this place. Me, well, I’ve sort of gotten over that style of pub and really prefer the more modern inner city establishment. Actually, I could even call this an old man’s pub, though it is surprising because it seems to be set apart from the rest of the suburb. I guess the main reason I wasn’t really all that impressed was the lack of beer options that they had available, which is generally something that I tend to like in a pub. Also, it really didn’t have all that much charm either. Sure, the service was nice, but that was about it.

Oh dear a full TAB bar...with no atmosphere, mediocre food, and the feeling your going to have a knuckle sandwich, without the side salad. Three mainstream beers on tap. If sitting around betting all day is your thing this place will do. If it was changed into a gastronomic pub that caters to young families it would be an overnight success. Unfortunately this pub is a set back and step back in time - that's out of tune with the local demographics. Please change!
