Monarto Zoo
We exist to save animals from extinctionEstablished in 1983 as a closed special purpose breeding area, Monarto Zoo, in Monarto, South Australia is now a fully fledged zoo covering a 1,000 hectare open-range sanctuary.
Monarto Zoo has tours, special events and can even host corporate functions, private parties and weddings.

A full day out, that can be enjoyed by the whole family. I like the fact you get a choice as to getting off or not at some of the animals to stay and watch feeding or keeper talks. Because we are members we are able to work our visits around a particular session we haven't heard before. It can be a very long day for young children. But it's lots of fun.
The zoo is very large and your takes a good hour and a half with out getting off at any stops. There are a few animals with in walking distance from the entrance which adds to the fun!
The food prices are reasonable and the food is good. We go back often and feel it is a good family day out
