Recently I stopped by for a chai and also one of their muffins. The chai is house made so they tell me and it is absolutely delicious. It is prepared with care in a lovely heavy stone mug at the right temperature and strength - they have nailed it. The staff are very friendly

A small cafe, entrance off Carlisle St towards the back alleyway and carpark. Hidden behind the dentist on number 202 Carlisle St. Friendly staff, good food, very filling, healthy choices, many choices of teas on the menu. Coffees are not our fave but that would depends on personal preference.

Wonderful coffee that is roasted in-house and delicious chai and teas. The menu is fairly limited as the place is small but there are plenty of healthy choices. They also offer from time to time degustation dinners where dishes are vegan, gluten-free and with no garlic or onion. My understanding is that they are serving "sattvic" foods to bring about a change in health and consciousness. Good on them!

The best coffee in Melbourne! Love it. Their chai was way to spicy for my tastes and I can usually handle a lot of spice. I think it had too much ginger or cardamon. Breakfast here is yummy although it's sometimes hard to secure a seat and you will usually have to sit in very close proximity to others as the cafe is set up in a garage and is pretty tiny.

While slightly elitist, it's meant in the best sense of the world. Hidden off an ally way of Carlisle Street behind the Woolworths, Monk is one of Carlisle streets best kept secrets. With no clear signs from Carlisle street that a cafe exists, apart from a tiny sign on wall of giant posters.

However, once you discover it, you'll have stumbled upon a cafe with really friendly staff who know a lot about coffee.
