I found the seating was so uncomfortable I couldn't wait for our meal to end. We had to relocate to another table and there was no better comfort. Tables and chairs and bench seats were awful. The food and service was just OK. Not worth it. The drinks were expensive $14 for them to empty a bottle of Daily Juice into a jug for a non alcoholic Sangria and they did it right in front of us.
I am a regular customer and have always praised Montezuma's, sending my friends there claiming it was one of my favorite restaurants. Never again. Organized a Valentine's Day dinner at Montezuma's North Adelaide days in advance only to have our booking not listed and to be seated in a dark corner behind a column where our elbows touched the wall as we ate. Received little to no service, and even after asking to be moved to an empty booth we were ignored. Valentine's Day special cocktails took nearly a half hour to arrive. No complaints about the food but the quality of the service was so poor we are considering moving to the neighbouring Zapata's Mexican Restaurant. I was left wondering if there has been a change of management? Long gone are the days of the staff serving us graciously. On top of everything, our voucher was refused without notice and we had to pay full fare for a below par dining experience.
