Moonee Ponds Medical Centre

A great Medical Centre, with good doctors,
I notice that people complain about the long wait as if they expect that they should be seen before everyone else..
The reason there is long waits as I have been using this Medical practice for many years is, that it is popular and often very busy....
Well worth the wait on the busy days, and best to get there early, and the wait is only 5-1o mins
and do remember that even Doctors get sick or have to take a day off as we all do, which means sometimes there are not as many Doctors on the day you visit....

Doctors here are hit and miss -- some good, some bad. Also a high turnover rate, so if you find a good one they won't be here for long. I'd attend for a basic issue/problem (e.g. renewing a prescription) but would be reluctant to attend re: a more complex complaint. Physio and radiology are good.

I was the last patient of the day and was made to wait for almost two hours, during which time one of the two doctors (tall caucasian middle aged man) on staff left very happily and very obviously avoiding eye contact with me, a good 15 minutes before 8pm. The remaining doctor (Shorter, older man) was in an appointment which had been lasting over an hour so I left out of frustration after talking to the male receptionist who asked me how long I was going to be! (Earlier he had shown no sympathy turning away patients due to closing hours, and clearly didn't care about people's wellbeing, just how late he was going to be staying back.) After no consultation, having waited for 2 hours and being shown no care whatsoever I decided that had I stayed for god knows how much longer, based on my experience I would probably not have been given proper care anyway. when you ring is a joke, you press 3 to talk with the physio and front desk answers the phone then they leave you waiting another 5 mins..
so a young lady, the physiotherapist receptionist answers and she is rude and hopeless
if you dont know what customer service is, get another job!!!

Not only should you expect to wait 3+ hours, the que is regularly jumped- today in the first hour waiting at least 8 others jumped the que.
The worst clinic in this area in history, no wonder blokes don’t go to see a doctor, if you have this sort of service dished up.
