Morton Island is forty kilometres off shore from Brisbane and is accessible by boat or barge.
Morton Island features some of the Australia's most pristine environment. Crystal clear creeks and lagoons, rocky headlands and abundant flora and fauna are what await you when you decide to visit.
The waters around Morton bay are home to diverse species of wildlife. Dugong feed on the communities of seagrass; seabirds feed and roost on the Island's beaches while Humpback whales frequent the surrounding waters during migration season. We also recommend a variety of leisure activities like cycling and bushwalking as a fantastic way to see everything the island has to offer.
Take a bushwalk past lagoons, sand dunes and the remains of a WWII fort, go fourwheel- driving along the beach or head to the water for snorkelling, diving or fishing. Feed dolphins at Tangalooma Resort or just relax in the sun on the pristine and ecluded shores.
