Cost us thousands. Lost deposit and dream home. Other brokers cannot understand why. Said they could not get a loan. Another broker got us one through one of Mortgage Choice's lenders. It was too late. They ruined our credit rating too. Had to wait 6 months to start looking again. Rob is a smooth talker but seems he can't always deliver. Far better brokers in the mountains.
When we needed to get a construction loan we went and visited Rob at Mortgage Choice and we were really impressed by the service he and the team provided. It was so much easier than expected and virtually stress free. Rob really went out of the way to get us the best home loan deal and ensure that we were able to go ahead with our home renovation.
We went to see a particular staff at this branch but they did not offer us very much choice at all! They seemed to only offer mortgages from a small range of lenders. They said we would only be able to borrow up to just over $300k. We asked her about a package we had seen at a particular bank but they said that they hadn\'t dealt with them \'in years\' and the package wouldn\'t work for us. We were very disillusioned about the \'choice\' that they gave us so we decided to go see banks for ourselves. We ended up with a great deal from the bank that the Mortgage Choice broker had dismissed, and the bank lent us up to $420k. My advice is: do your own research and Mortgage Choice is not all that it seems...
