Well, where do I start? We arrived late one friday night to music playing, and the fire roaring! And it just got better and better. Awaking to the sounds of chickens in the morning we all donned our winter warmies - replete with beanies and gloves and wrapped in scarves. Running into the paddock we straight away met the ram who came up very quick but all he wanted was to say Hi and he had seen our carrots!
Horses, mini horses, a goat with the crimpiest wool I have ever seen, giant blue rabitts, geese, ducks , donkeys and more - exactly what we had been planning. The kids finally know that eggs come out of hens not boxes!
Highly entertaining and highly reccommended to all.
Off the property we would reccommend a visit at dusk to Glow Worm Cavern just 1 minute drive away.
Our family had an amazing time at Morvern Valley Guesthouses. It is a great vacation
destination if you have small children. They really loved all the animals, and the hen house was a big hit ! The cottages were very private and my husband loved the BBQ. The owners were very cheerful and accommodating. We spent a couple of days at the National Park, and most of our nights roasting marshmallows by the fire. It was nice being surrounded by so much diverse wildlife and farm animals. My children are already asking when we can visit again. I would highly recommend Morvern Valley Guesthouses.
Great family destination. Enjoyed the log fire. Clean, cosy, all in all a charming cottage. Loads of games and full of things to do - loved fairyland down by the creek.
Bundanoon Chinese Restaurant excellent. Collected blackberries at Montrose Farm and went horse riding too.

It is rare and beautiful to be awakened by such a magnificent rooster. To be able to feed Fudge and enjoy the presence of the alpacas and horses and sheep - to feed the birds and watch the birds enjoy the meal - the geese are happy and protective of the nest - the hens supplyed such lovely eggs - thank you for all of this as well as the lovely apple pie - the mock orange by the gate introduces us to a place of peace and charm. Thank you very much for a peaceful adventure. We have very much enjoyed our visit and will think of it often.
June Long Weekend 2009. Family get together in Braedon Cottage. loved the country atmosphere. Well equipped kitchen, warm cosy. Our children fed the donkeys but Fudge far and away the favorite.
Visited Glow worm Glen & Illawarra Fly tree top walk. Will return - recommend highly.
