Mosaic Restaurant

This place is usually good. However I've had a few hit and miss moments.
The seafood doesn't always seem the most fresh which is strange considering it's a restaurant near the beach.

This place serves great food but the wait can be up to 30mins.

Mosaic is a restaurant I've been to a couple of times in Altona. They do a $15 lunch parma special which I was quite good. The chips were golden and crunchy. They also had friendly staff. The lamb and chicken tenders that my friend ordered were well cooked, well presented and tasted great. The pita bread was excellent. The coffee and tea was decent.
The atmosphere was inviting. Close to the beach and good for work lunches if you are in the area.

Have been here twice now, once for lunch with our water aerobics group and most recently dinner to celebrate a career change with family and on both occasions have been very impressed.
The menu is very impressive boasting plenty of fresh seafood and even Mortan Bay Bugs! The atmosphere is very chilled and relaxed, love the art work, cushions and candles it's a very calming place to sit and have a wine in.

My husband & I went to their wine dinner last night. It was 8 courses of just the best food & the wine it all just worked so well together. The staff were very friendly and very helpful.
We meet some very nice people and we all had a great night together. We would go back next month for the next one which is on the 1st Wednesday of each month
