This was the only place we stayed on our trip. We stayed here overnight and used our own pillows. The following day our daughter had a few itchy bites which I assumed were mozzie bites, we drove home that day and I put our pillows straight into our beds. Only to discover more bites on her the next morning! My husband and I also had a few bites as we had gone into her room and sat on her bed to settle her as she was really restless. So we discovered the next day we had brought home bed bugs from this place! I am disgusted! My poor daughter was covered in horrible really itchy bites and my husband and myself ended up with a quite a few too! Thankfully our little baby boy was in his portacot & didnt get any bites! I rang the hotel only to constantly get an engaged signal so I sent an email which I never heard back from! Do not stay here!!!!
We stayed here for one night as we had a last minute event in Newcastle. We had read reviews and the buffet breakfast was what mainly enticed us there. Upon booking, the person i spoke to was lovely but then We were quickly disappointed on arrival. The room was very dark and smelt musty. We turned on all the lights and then we noticed the stains on the carpet. When we tried to open the windows, we noticed the lock was steel rods in the window sill so the window open. The bunk bed blankets had white stains on them, almost like tooth paste splatter but all over it. I ended up taking them off the kids bed and used our own. When we tried to shower the bathroom started to flood as the shower curtain didn't hold the water in. I ended up having to use towels, bath mat and hand towel to make a barrier so that it didn't flood the whole bathroom. Buffet Breakfast was nice with lots of variety but just didn't make up for the horrible room and the price we had to pay
