Mount Glorious Restaurant

My husband and I had heard good things about this restaurant and coffee shop, and that the breakfasts on a Sunday morning were wonderful. Sad to say we were very disappointed. We had a 45 minute drive up the mountain to start with, arriving at 8.30am to find they didn't open for breakfast until 9am. We were the only people there but were told we couldn't sit on the balcony overlooking the beautiful views as those tables were reserved (nobody else arrived in the time we were there), and were given a table back near the counter area. The menu was extremely limited and the service was brusque. I ordered Eggs Hollandaise and my husband ordered the main breakfast, both of which were over $17 and small compared to other places we have been. His breakfast was meagre and the scrambled eggs were runny. My breakfast was swimming in a sea of oil and fairly tasteless. Both coffees were bitter.
