Adam looked after my VW Kombi 'Dot' for some time. He then took on another car we owned, talking my partner into having an engine rebuild (a Ford). From there on, everything went wrong, including finding out that the Ford AND my Kombi's brakes (which he said were fine, but never took wheels off to look) turned out to be nearly down to the metal and dangerous, after taking them to a brake specialist. Then the Ford's engine leaked oil within two weeks, the lifter blew and two sets of screws he'd used were incorrect. So $20k later, he refuses to fix just dropped the parts off and told us to go elsewhere. I would definitely not recommend Mountain Mechanics.
I have used Mountain Mechanics for a few years now and Adam has always provided a professional service and uses quality parts which has kept my car running without issue. The convenience of him coming to me also means I don't have to muck around dropping the car off, etc.
It has been refreshing to find a mechanic that explains what needs to be done (in language I can understand) and who comes to me instead of the hassle of dropping a car in to be serviced and then trying to organise lifts to and from work. Plus he turns up on time! Love it.
