We arranged for MoveitCat Removals to move our household belongings on Thursday 16 February 2012. Whilst moving these belongings our dining table was balanced on its side (rather than kept flat). This action broke the internal mechanism which extends the table (due to the weight of the table and the pressure now placed on the mechanism). We were advised that the management would get in touch with someone that they use to fix these problems and that there would be no cost at our end. We have phoned the business multiple times to follow up on this promise. Over a month has now passed with no firm commitment from the business on when they will rectify the problem. It appears to be an empty promise. Surely a business like this should have insurance to cover damaged goods and we should either have the problem rectified or be provided with compensation so that we can arrange to get if fixed elsewhere? We are not happy customers at this point.
MoveitCat were booked and confirmed to assist us with our move at 2pm on Saturday. At 4:30 on Saturday afternoon they called us to cancel the job. Between these hours, no phones calls were answered as the phone on not only the driver but also the management's phone is switched off. Very disappointed in this very unprofessional company who runied what would otherwise have been a great day. I would not deal with this company.
We are also dissappointed with the service/lack of service on that day.
The first job of the day was under estimated, turned out to take 10 hours, and yes the driver should have answered his phone!
Management was out of service area for the day.
At 530 pm the driver rang the customer to appologise and offer their services on the next day (sunday) at a discounted rate (monday to saturday rates) which was declined by the customer.
Once again our sincere appologies for the mis-management of your move.
We have moved various times before using several different removalists and were always a little disappointed with the service. We employed Move It Cat to help us move from Albury/Wodonga to Melbourne, and found them to be, by far, the best and most professional removalists we have ever dealt with. They were fast, courteous and spot on time. There was no damage at all, as every piece of furniture was treated with care as if it was their own. The price was also extremely reasonable.
