I stumbled across this place just before going to a specialised dentist across the road for some work on my gums and was told I would not be able to eat for a few hours after. So, thanks to the cool staff at Mr. Peabody for filling me up with a burger and coffee to keep me going all day. Coffee is Campos, as advertised on the banner outside. Nice timber benches to sit on. They seem to have a loyal following with all of the people who work in this precinct (Zenith Tower) and all of the many dentists ( endodontists, periodontists, orthodontists etc) that wisely locate themselves here....and with good reason, it is a good place for an honest feed and drink.
A relatively new and quirky cafe in an otherwise BLAND corporate precinct. They serve campos coffee - when my colleagues and I first heard that a new cafe was opening with this brand of coffee we were ecstatic! However it can sometimes be a bit 'lukewarm' or scalding hot, or weak.
The cafe decor is very industrial warehouse - faux vines up the walls, metal stools and authentic wooden slat benches. I like the feel of it.
Food-wise, they have some good items on the menu. The lunches look and taste like they're been prepared by 'mum' back in the kitchen (in fact she can often be seen popping to the counter to add more delis items!). I've enjoyed the bircher muesli with fresh fruit before - absolutely devine.
