Mr Wolf Restaurant & Bar

Mr Wolf is a favourite haunt among locals who love its funky atmosphere and great food. It does get very busy and sometimes a bit noisy but staff always make you feel welcome and the pizzas are great! No skimping on ingredients here! It's tucked away in one of St Kilda's quieter spots but close enough to everything else.

Having heard good reviews about this place, my husband and I headed there for my birthday. For a Tuesday night (where the restaurant wasn't even full house), the service was quite slow. They didn't even have our table ready when we had arrived (they got us to sit at the bar for over 10 minutes). For an established restaurant like Mr Wolf, I was expecting a much better service and pizzas. My pizza had way too much prosciuotto on it, which made it quite salty. Hmm...a little bit disappointing!

Mr Wolf was discovered by word of mouth. It's a very popular place and the staff there always remember us and remember our favourites, which is always really nice. We particularly like it because they do gluten free pizza bases, which is made out of rice flour instead of wheat flour. It leaves you feeling less bloated, so if you're going to have a pizza, gluten free is definitely the way to go.

Fantastic creative food and unique service. Great for an intimate dinner without all the pompous attitude. Really is a great venue and out of the way of the main drag hustle and bustle.
