Msy Technology

Having been to other MSY's, I didn't expect a whole lot in terms of helpful customer service here - but I was incredibly pleasantly surprised. Asked about what I would need for a certain project (that probably seemed very basic to them, but bamboozling to me), they looked up the parts, got them for me, showed me how to use them, and whatsmore the price was better than advertised. All done in a very friendly manner, not rushing me even though it was the lunchtime rush. Gave me great confidence in them, I'll be back.

I just placed an order online, 30 minutes later it was ready for pickup at the Holden Hill branch. I called them right after placing the order and asked for advice on matching components; I was helped by a friendly person, who I later discovered was also serving customers in the store and despite this, they hadn't rushed me on the phone.

MSY seem to have a good range of products in stock and the prices are competitive. I was looking for a new "go to" computer store and am happy I found them.

Can't say much about after sales support yet but everything up to here has been good.

worst excuse for a store. poor quality components - all items bought here failed within a few weeks or, in the case of my motherboard, didn't even work. When I approached them they offered to test it for $30 (even though I, being a technician myself, tested everything) - came back later saying it was okay, took it home still not working. I tried changing all my components except the motherboard - nada.



In short, stay away from MSY.

If you are after cheap prices and a wide range of equip, this is a great place to check out, Everything in the shop is behind the counter, so I would recommend you know what you are looking for before you buy!

Cheap prices, and the guys there are nice and helpful!
