Muji Australia
Have not been here for a while but I think the store is even bigger now. There are a number of furnitures, storage, homewares, kitchen and dining, bedding, bathroom, living, storage, cookware, stationaries, encompassing many of the basic home and living requirements in basic pastel muted colours.
Muji has always been one of only a few favourite shops whenever I travel to Asia, so when I found out that they finally opened a store at Melbourne Emporium, I jumped the chance to take a look.
The shop sells mostly small household and travel items, stationeries, and some clothes too. The shop is not as large I expected it to be (as they do have larger stores in Asia), so it was a little bit disappointing. The stock is not as extensive as I remembered either, although it certainly brought the atmosphere and the charm.
Part of the main selling point of Muji is quality product at affordable prices, but since some of the items are translated into local prices they are not as affordable, although the rest are actually still quite alright.
One of the novelties of the store is the "stamp kiosk" where you can personalise the blank covers of the notebook you purchase with various inked stamps available.
