Munich Brauhaus
Find a little piece of Munich right here in Melbourne where Oktoberfest comes to Melbourne 365 days a year, where consuming seven million litres of beer is a rite of passage and where shouting 'Prost!' with every beverage is considered mandatory.
Now the world's favourite festival can be enjoyed without setting foot out of South wharf, Melbourne.
This place is huge! Had a work lunch here and decided to sit outside as it was a nice day. As busy as they were, we got attended to right away by the friendly waiter. I was quite impressed that he remembered everyone’s order without writing it down. And even though we had a big group, they did an amazing job getting everyone’s food out at the same time. I had the lunch special which was a schnitzel with chips and a drink for $20. I was a bit disappointed with the serving size when it came out, I was expecting something larger. The schnitzel was good, but nothing too special about it, same with the chips. I guess what you’re paying for here is the Barvarian themed restaurant with the large steins.
Used to be one of my favourite places. The happy hour deals are great for drinks, and the craft beers are great. Bit disappointed with the food this time. I found the Chicken Wing Promotion during happy hour very misleading. The promotion is $1 per chicken wing with your drinks. I ordered three wings to try them and I recieved three pieces of a chicken wing? not three actual wings like advertised. The potato salad was quite wierd and there was more liquid in the potato salad than potato's itself. The chips were good, the saurkaut was good. Pleasant service.
We came here on a weekend afternoon. Decided to come to Munich Brauhaus lunch for something different. Love the design of the large Bavarian beer hall which can accommodate for a big group. They have a digital ordering system which made the service efficient and fast. Service here was fantastic but found it a bit loud to have a conversation with my mate.
