Musashi

I've been coming here for years, and although the hour long waiting lines have disappeared and the quality isn't as good. I still like it. The sushi is fresh, and the service is quick, the price is good also, about $20-$30 per head.

Fav's are - Katsu (Pork or Chicken), Salmon/Chicken Teriyaki, and all the sushi plates.

I'm a returning customer and this is almost perfect. Great tasting Japanese food with a slight contemporary treatment and consistently prepared and presented time after time. Price points as expected - allow around $20 per person for lunch. I usually have the Tempura Bento Box and it is consistent at each visit. Beef lovers, don't go past the Wagyu beef or the Yakiniku. Seating is generally available upon walk-in but bookings are recommended. Decor is a little dated but still very clean and tidy. The shared toilet facilities are a little way from the actual restaurant via an internal corridor. If you have a business card, drop it into the bowl at the front counter for a prize draw. Street parking is almost non-existent.



On my last visit, one person in our party had a tiny caterpillar in their fresh salad. This was promptly attended to and a new set was served momentarily without any fuss. Nice recovery by the staff.

Great Japanese food, nice atmosphere, good customer service. Beware of the long queue, as with other good restaurants who don't take reservations.

Great food and they do the BEST mocktails ever (lime and apple shake - sounds odd but it tastes very good).



The only bad thing is that there can be a long wait (esp if you are in a big group). If you plan to eat here as a big group, i think they allow reservations at 5.30 - 6ish. Just be mindful that you can wait 30-45mins for two ppl.



Nevertheless, the wait is worth it as the food is so nice.

The food here is great, fresh and always satisfying. The problem though is that they don't take reservations, and you can wait for almost an hour for a table. But if you have the time to kill, then its worth it.
