Don’t go here for a pink slip. As per previous reviews they rip you off. Had brand new wipers on and were told we had to replace them with the euro ones. Had a dimmer on our lights and they charged us for fixing the lights but they only pushed a button to make them brighter. Was told if we didn’t fix all the items they wouldn’t pass the car.

I just had my car serviced at Kmart tyre and auto neutral bay and I feel completely ripped off. They started the service at 2.05pm (I saw them take the car in) and I had s call at 2.22pm telling me the car was ready. I was advised I needed new wipers and was not quoted. When I picked up the car the service was $244 (advertised at $159) the wipers were $49 each because I apparently need European wipers in my Japanese car. When I said I didn't want them I was told my car would not pass rego without them. The man who helped me (Anthony) was rude and aggressive! Do not use these people- nothing positive about the whole experience.

I was so disappointed with these guys.

We took the car in for a simple service and to listen to what a noise might be. The day after the service, the oil warning light came on - they had way overfilled the engine with oil! Such a basic thing they couldn't even get right.

Also, regarding the noise, they told us that the drive belt tensioner was failing, and so was the engine, and that the car wasn't worth fixing as it would cost >$4000.

Later on we went somewhere else and for $1000 the problem was fixed. Nothing to do with the tensioner or the engine. Clearly they didn't know what they were talking about, and judging by these reviews, probably rarely do. Maybe they are fine for holdens and fords?

Overall a very disappointing experience.

I've never had any issues with this place. I've had minor services, repairs and pink slips done and they've been fine. There was a staff who worked there who came across grumpy, but more recently staff have been pleasant. I wish they opened earlier and closed later though so I could drop off and pick up outside of business hours.

Transferred to Neutral Bay KTAS after we moved house and our great mechanice in Bondi Junction closed. We'd had 6 years of low-cost services with no surprises. First service with KTAS was over $1000, very surprising. Also a lack of attention to detail including servicing lights not reset. KTAS then said we needed to replace alternator idler and tensioner pulleys and air conditioning pulley, cost approx $800. I got a second opinion from a highly-recommended mechanic who said not all was required, and quoted $350 for what was required. He reviewed head gasket invoice ($4000+) and servicing invoice ($1000+) and was surprised at the high labour charges. We've changed to the other mechanic.
