Over the weekend I thought Ill go on a mini shopping spree as its been quite some time, Myer the central hub that stocks the one stop shop for almost everything you could possibly be looking for. I really like the womens shoe department; they stock so many different brands and often have various discounts depending on brand and events. Their selection is so huge compared to the department stores even Chadstone and highpoint shopping centre been the largest in Melbourne suburbs stores. The only challenge I found shopping here over the weekend is the large amount of people in the same boat trying to look for a pair of shoes, hence the number of staff available was not enough to cater for everyone. I waited quite some time before I could actually get hold of a staff who had ducked to the back to pick up my pair whilst looking for someone elses as well.
I used to love Myer Melbourne. I have fond memories of visiting the city as a child and looking at the Level 6 enormous toy store that had everything. As a teen, I loved the Level 2 Music and Entertainment floor. As an adult, the Basement was an awesome place to look for bargains and fun quirky things. There also used to be a wonderful food court. Now? They closed down one entire building, the toys are now one small corner, the music is a tiny section of over priced DVDS, the foodcourt is now nothing more than sushi and a burger place. I don't even want to go in there anymore.
