Myer

With every full-scale Westfield shopping centre, it is quite a given to have Myer department store as one of the tenants. Spanned across two levels, the department store occupies a lot larger space than the David Jones just right across.

The store, however, has a lot less premium look and feel with white neon lighting making the place feel less luxurious. To add it up, some of the sections of the store are quite unkempt (that was the case for the mens section during my visit where it feels like a lot is happening in the section it feels very cluttered), whilst the rest of the shop are just ok.

Despite all that, there seems to be a lot more patronage in this department store than of the David Jones a stonethrow away. They were having sale at that time (which is quite a regular recurrence for Myer) which kind of explains the extra crowd.

I feel like MYER has lost it's way - their electrical section is dull and overpriced - the deals of yesteryear aren't there anymore

I have had a great experience with the Electrical department here - they gave us a good price then kept the product on hold for 2 weeks while we waited for gift vouchers to come.

Very helpful staff especially in the lower ground level - toys & childrens clothes. They are very friendly & will go out of there way to help you. Find this alot with Myer staff. Congratulations Myer on hiring & training good staff. It is a pleasure to shop in all the stores I have visited.
