I wanted the ridge tiles re-bedded and re-pointed, and a valley replaced. The quality of the work was very poor. Ridge and hip lines were not straight or level. Tiles were out of alignment. The pointing had gaps in it which they tried to pass off as weep holes. Within a year the pointing was separating from the tiles. The valley was put in off centre, thus lowering its profile and therefore its capacity to carry away water. This caused water to leak into the house. They also broke 14 tiles but only replaced 11 of them, causing more water to enter the house. For images search N & I Roofing on Youtube.
