If one must pull on the blues following their child into surgery whilst interstate on holidays, this was the hospital to be. We had a long wait for the op, due to an extreme day in the emergency dept, but staff were apologetic, communicative & just beautiful! Being in a remote location away from anyone I knew, the nursing staff watched my other daughter,(even bought her lunch & took her safely to the bathroom etc.) whilst I was in pre-theatre & then theatre with my other daughter. The surgeons etc. in theatre were absolutely brilliant. My daughter & myself laughed with them until such time as the injection took hold. At which time they reminded me to give her another kiss, then took her into their professional care. The after-surgery care was faultless & the check-ups over coming weeks were every bit as easy. A very friendly hospital, the best I have ever dealt with. And I have spent my entire life around hospitals, so that is really saying something!
