Set in a little, communal space half a block behind Rundle St, facing towards the Belgian Beer Cafe, the new Nano is a benchmark, easy, casual Italian cafe with plenty of positives. First, there is a little Italian piazza vibe to the location, looking on to a quite prettily paved square, mod-sculpture in the middle, riders, walkers, diners and drinkers all sharing the love of an inner-city patch of urbanity. The cafe takes up the modern predilection for internal industrial design, with conduits and lighting hanging from the ceiling. A huge blackboard carries all the food and drinks info while a large cabinet shows off trays of pizza, breads and sweet things. In the end, you might just view Nano in its new digs as just another cafe, but it is more than that. It puts the joy back into cafe eating.

This place is my ALL TIME favourite place for pizza, ever. It has to be the most delicious pizza I've ever had. In fact I feel like a bit of a traitor for drawing attention to it, as its already hard to get a table there at lunch times. They have a huge array of delicious, freshly prepared pizza slices, foccacias, sandwhiches, and salads on display, plus a menu as well. I recommend getting there by 12 to get full pick of the choices, as they're VERY popular and disappear fast! Must try.
