Unfortunate news for Naremburn Village, Naremburn Natural is closing by Mid April, 2011. The brothers have run to the end of their lease and will be moving on to other occupations. The home cooked foods of brilliant quality and taste are leaving Naremburn. Get in quick and order some soup for the winter. I am sad to see them go, lovely boys with lovely products.
I agree with ann85, this is a great shop. I have always appreciated how they strive to get the best value for money products available from the markets in all seasons. They consistently have edible, tasty tomatoes and the same for the cucumbers. If you want to sample their home cooked wares, there is a tasting table every Sunday morning. They also have soups year round and in Winter, you must try the chicken soup.
What can I say, I love their food and fruit and veg.....
This is the perfect local fruit and veg shop. It is open late on weeknights, so you can stop off on your way home from work to pick up your veggies for dinner and all weekend, it is very reasonably priced, and is family owned, by a couple of lovely brothers, who are always super friendly.
The shop is well stocked with all the usual suspects; they tend not to stock too many exotic fruits and vegetables, so if you are after something a bit out of the ordinary it may not be here. They also have a range of freshly prepared Lebanese food, all cooked by Mama in the back of the shop! The falafel are delicious, the soups are yummy and the dips are to die for, the Baba ghanoush is one of the best I have ever had, smoky and garlicky and delicious! So go check this local out, it will be worth it just for the dip!
