I enrolled my daughter in this school hoping she would have fun and learn about dance. It was the most traumatic horrible experience. She is only 3 just about to turn 4, so I was a little unsure whether she was too young however the principle of the school assured me that her age was ok. We had a terrible experience, the teacher is an older woman and I sincerely believe she needs to be retrained in appropriate handling of children. She treated my daughter abominably. The first lesson I stayed and watched, however I was informed after that she preferred parents didnt stay. I found this unusual but followed her directions and didnt stay for the second lesson, when I arrived to pick my daugher up she was crying, distraught actually and i couldnt get a straight answer as to what happend. I really saddens me to hear this has happened to you. I am actually a past student of this centre and would also not recommend this dance school to anyone! About 6 years ago I was rudely asked to leave the school after devoting my time there for almost 7 years as both a dancer and an assistant teacher, without reason. Only recently have I felt comfortable to talk about my horrible experiences there.
To start off with, their practices towards teaching ballet are completely unorthodox. I'm quite aware that there needs to be a balance between having fun and over working the body but with their methods of teaching they never allowed the girls to excel outside of the school.
