An incredibly interesting hands-on family frienly museum. Took my 6 & 11 year old and there was well and truly enough for them to do for a few hours. The 3D computer animation maker in the k-zone is great, did that a few times over. And the price (free) can't be beaten.

Only -ves are that the cafe is ridiculously expensive and the signage (especially to the k-zone kids area) is really poor.

I don't care how many people say they hate the building; I love it! It is an eye catching piece of art. Inside it has many exhibitions, and a family could easily spend a whole day there.

Good place to spend a few hours and absorb some history easily. Also worth a visit just to check out the amazing architecture.

Drove down to Capital Country to check out some exhibitions as part of Culture Shock. First stop was the NMA to view the exhibition on Water. The facilities are excellent, parking is free and customer service was amazing. We were promptly greeted by Chris and Christy (strange...?) and given the initial rundown on the outlay of the Museum. Tickets were $10 (adult) and $8 (concession) respectively, if you're interested in the visiting exhibitions. Otherwise, you can spend the entire day there for free!
