See opalized fossils of prehistoric animals and plants displayed amongst three dimensional dioramas of pre-historic Australia.

The NOC has faithfully recreated the history of opal with graphic life-size dioramas of the dinosaur age. Rare opalised fossils of animals and plants are featured alongside specially sculptured and faithfully recreated life-like models of the original animals.

Amongst our most important pieces is â??Nessieâ?� the opalised skeleton of a ferocious marine reptile known as a Pliosaur. These large beasts ruled the seas 100 million years ago.
