Neighbourhood Wine

Lovely little place with a great selection of wines and a great menu. The only thing I didn't much care for was the decor which was rather ugly although it did give off that struggling student vibe which some people love. The roaring fire is nice.

This is a locale wine bar like no other, it's more than a wine bar as it has a fantastic menu in addition to its wine selection. There's a weekend long lunch menu on saturdays which includes 4 courses for just $75 plus matching wines OR bottomless house wine. I went with the matching wines and was not disappointed. The steak was perfectly cooked as was the chunky fries. The cheese platter could have come with a little bit more but overall I had a great time. The setting is welcoming and decked out in retro eames/70s style furniture and there's nice blues music playing from the record player in the background. This is a great place for a lazy lunch or a drink in the evenings.
