The New Norfolk librarian Marleen is always helpful to both myself and my now-turned 5 year old son Joe. Over the past 18 months, Joe has been an active member of the library and has always been treated like a valued customer by Marleen. Joe has enjoyed a specialised Reading Program offered by the library and delivered by 'Annette', a fabulous early childhood educator of literacy. During this time, I have observed the encouragement that both Marleen and Annette offer to all young library cardholders. My son 'yahoos' when it is Wednesday - his library day. Thanks to Marleen and Annette, my son has a true appreciation for books and other people's property as well as a genuine interest in learning. What more could a parent want?
