Recycling today for a better tomorrowNewcastle Mattress Recyclers offers a mattress recycling service and for much less then the current mattress disposal charge at your council's waste disposal site.
Local Government Council's currently charge around $33.00 per mattress disposed off at their waste disposal depots and as a result, a large number of mattresses are being dumped illegally on road sides, in national parks and in bush land to name just a few places.
Newcastle Mattress Recyclers understands the frustrations and anger as a result of the high charge to dispose of old mattresses which is likely to result in mattresses being disposed of illegally on a continuous basis.
This is why Newcastle Mattress Recyclers has commenced its own mattress recycling service, we aim to give a much cheaper alternative to disposing of your old mattress whilst doing our part to help the environment.
Our charge of $25.00 per mattress with collection available for a 10 or more mattresses (small fee applies) is sure to see a much larger number of mattresses being recycled then dumped illegally and will, in turn reduce the damage on our environment.
Servicing all area's of Newcastle and the North Coast of New South Wales, our mattress recycling service is very popular and in high demand.
How it works...
We strip old mattresses down then distribute the inner makings of the mattresses to the necessary places for recycling, here's an example...
* Timber is sent to a timber processing plant for re-use as wood chip or for use in the manufacturing of particle board.
* Steel, such as the springs are sent to a scrap metal merchant who melts down and re-uses it in buildings and infrastructure as well as in vehicles and appliances.

Amazing, I'm all for businesses that look out for the environment. We had these people collect our old mattresses and bases and they were very prompt and cheaper than they quoted as on the phone. Very friendly and polite men too,thank you Newcastle Mattress Recyclers staff, we will highly recommend you.
I phoned them only to have the person hang up on me. I then went to their website and found they will not accept phone calls for mattress removal, I then followed their directions and sent an email for removal 25 days later I have not received a reply.
We received a call from you and advised that we were experiencing delays in the collection process at the time due to a staff holiday period, you then told us in no polite manner to get stuffed then. two day's later you called us again and demanded cwe promptly collect your mattress for which we replied...we will collect it in 3 days time for you and at no charge as a good will for the delay. You again told us to get lost that is why when you emailed us we ignored it. WE WILL NOT TOLERATE RUDENESS. Thank you
